Additional Information and Resources
Here is a list of web sites with free monthly newsletters and information on marketing your web site, and more importantly, keeping up with the changing face of the Internet.
One thing you will learn is that the Internet changes at a rapid rate. Don’t be discouraged by this, in fact be encouraged, because if you keep track of changes as they start to occur, you will have a huge advantage over your competitors.

The Final Word
Okay, so you’ve either finished reading this book for the first time, or you now have a web site up and running and are marketing it.
You’re job now as a business owner, is to do market on a regular basis.
Keep writing articles and press releases. Always keep an eye on your competitors and look out for any complimentary sites.
One of the most important things you can do as a web site owner is to keep it fresh. What this means, is keep adding fresh content, preferably daily. Of course you may find it difficult to do a new press release every day, but content comes in many forms.
Testimonials from satisfied customers are a good way, and you can allocate pages just for that.
Any news that comes out and relates to your business can be good too. You will want to reword the news so your not penalised for copying someone else’s content.
Adding fresh content doesn’t mean your home page either. Yes, you may want to make slight changes to your main pages from time to time, but you will want to create new pages for every new article, press release, news item, testimonial you write and for any other piece of information you are adding.
Also remember to use your Blog wisely. Adding content daily to a blog, and having it listed in many directories will go a long way to boosting your sites rankings.
Adding more products on a regular basis will not only keep your site fresh, but also keep your visitors interested, and also give you things to talk about in your articles, press releases, newsletters and so on.
The more sites you expose yourself to, the more popular you become in the eyes of the big search engines. Keep looking for sites that compliment yours.
If you do all the marketing techniques presented in this manual, over time you will see your web site rise in the search engine rankings. Be aware that it will take longer to get to the top page of Goolge than it will for MSN, but the more reasons you give the search engines to spider you, the quicker it will happen.
If you get stuck at a certain point, remember the three points I mentioned at the start of this manual.
1. Find a product or service. 2. Drive traffic to a web site. 3. Convert traffic to sales.
If you find you’re not making many sales, have a look at which level you could improve. It could be something simple such as a long loading web page. If your home page has too many graphics and it large in size (anything over 40K to 50K in size is starting to get too big), it will take too long to load on people’s browsers and hence, turn them away before they’ve even seen your site.
Finally, once you have a site up and running, and you’re making a constant profit on a month by month basis, I urge you to start a new business. You’re abilities to market will become better and better as time goes on, and so will your ability to build new online businesses.
Good luck and I wish you lots of success!
