Articles
The difference between Articles and Press Releases is that you have a little more freedom with articles, but a little less instant exposure.
Articles can be about a certain product, such as a review or information, or they can be about a certain aspect of your site, or even about the behaviour of your target market, but the main thing to remember is that they can be, written by you.
Articles provide the same benefits as press releases such as exposure to search engines and other web masters or magazine editors, and all of this adds to the value of your site. One article a week will add fresh content to your site, give you a chance to be exposed to thousands of sites and thus, give you better rankings.
Write one article a week and submit it to the sites listed below, but also do a search for articles within your market. So if you were a ‘doll making’ supplier, you’d do a search for ‘doll making supply articles’ or ‘articles doll making supplies’.
Have a look through the article submission sites below and get a feel for how articles are written. As with press releases, it is still important to make sure you’re not blatantly advertising, but rather providing some useful information.
If you were doing a product review, your article could be about the benefits that a particular product will bring to the customer, but you wouldn’t write about how you as a supplier are better than everyone else, as this is just pure advertising.
